I followed the instructions regarding how much Kplus and upped the SBK. Roped in my daughter and we sprayed every but of horsetail we could see

So far, so good. This was applied as directed and within hours, the marestail wilted. I left it a day or two and reapplied, due to how thick the patch was (obviously I wasn't going to get it all in one go). I have removed all the weeds, with the intent that something where I missed will grow back and I'll apply again. I'm really impressed with this.

I have sprayed the land twice and the marestail has turned brown and crumbling, which is great. However, when I have dug underneath, the roots are still alive. New shoots are abundant therefore intend to cover with a third application. Best thing we have found so far ( apart from those where you will never grow anything afterwards) but it is not killing the plant completely.

I bought this specifically to deal with mare's tail and I am delighted to report that it has worked brilliantly. I have tried SBK on its own in the past with zero success so I imagine that it was the KPlus conditioner that made the difference (our water is very hard). The only other thing I did was add a couple of squirts of washing up liquid in order to help the solution stick to the weed. I treated the weeds twice to help cover as much surface as possible. The mare's tails were looking pretty sad the following morning and looked totally dead within a week. I understand from the ProGreen website that looks can be deceiving so I will wait until the autumn before clearing them up.
