The UK Health and Safety Executive has recently introduced the M-Class rating as the minimum legal requirement for all construction sites. You can also un-clog the filter without exposing yourself to harmful dust by using the Integrated Filter Shaker System - and if you ever need to give the filter a good, deep clean, simply remove the filter and place it in the dishwasher.

“Context: I bought this tool to use as both a dust extractor and as a vacuum cleaner that wouldn't throw the dust back out the back as so many I've bought or used do. I've never owned or used a dust extractor, and I wasn't sure what to expect when I plugged it into a Titan branded wall chaser (2 x 120mm ish diameter blades on a 9 inch angle-grinder essentially). Initial thoughts & pros: I was disappointed when I saw how much dust came out at first, but when I tested the wall chaser with the vacuum switched off - wow - what a difference! I think to eliminate all dust, you'd need one with double the air flow this provides, and at this price point, I can't find another that does it, so I'm really impressed. As a vacuum, it works really well at getting at the brick and plaster dust up without recirculating it into the air. Cons: My only complaint is that the bags are a really decent size given the machine size, but I found the suction had really reduced to the point I needed to swap the bag out when it was only half full. On swapping the bag, it occurred to me that tipping all the debris down to one end of the bag might allow me to continue using the original bag for longer with more suction again, but I haven't had chance to test this yet. It doesn't allow you to suck up liquids - this wasn't something I was looking for, but some do and it would have been great if this machine did too (like its larger brother). Overall: I'm very impressed and am glad I bought it. I wish we went down this route sooner. I've noticed that the wire sheath is pulling out of the plug already and I'm pretty sure it hasn't been tugged, but it's not worth returning it when I can just put a new plug on it.”

“Excellent M-Class small vac suitable for hazardous dust. Fantastic price! Our workshop now complies with health and safety requirements. It's also not too heavy or noisy because its smaller than the industrial size. We got the normal 240v plug, which means we don't need a transformer either. Thank you very much!”
