Brilliant machine and very easy to use, delivering excellent results. But let down by its side exit shavings chute (as many others have commented) which blocks up almost instantly you start using it even with a powerful vacuum attached (I tried two different dust collectors, one of which was specifically for workshop use with machines like this). The result is that the shavings blow out of the front of the machine at some speed! Fortunately someone on eBay has manufactured a rear exit chute with a 100mm connector and that works really well with this machine and my dust collector so I am no longer ankle-deep in shavings (but £45 poorer :-)

Holy moly, this thing is a beast, I've been putting 6" oak posts 8ft long through this machine and it has not skipped a beat, it's quite impressive and can't really see how you could get any better

Sturdy heavy machine, extremely well packaged. Instructions included have tiny print so no good for older eyes but in any event there is little to do in terms of assembly. It works really well but as expected with a machine of tbis caliber it's a bit noisy so hearing protection is a must. Well worth the cost - great buy.

Arrived on time. Worked out of the box. Purchased for one particular job of bringing some recycled 60 year old timber back into a usable state. Despite the age and being very hard, taking 0.5 mm cuts at a time it produced an exceptional results, with a glass like finish. With the cost of planed hard wood it's probably paid for itself with this job along.

Nice piece of kit that's easy and safe to use. Great smooth feeder, and great smooth results. Next I need a dust extractor as the thicknesser makes a huge mess (and is pretty noisy).

After much deliberation and searching this unit came up ...so more reading and watching reviews until I decided it fits the bill Out of the box it does appear to need a bit of adjustment on the indeed and outfield tables but this is easy enough It does appear to be very marginally off level but again this is relatively simple to sort out and YouTube has a few good videos for the task . It's had about 8hrs work so far in a few days smoothing out rough sawn 4x1 and 4x4 posts for a pergola job and it works extremely well despite it being low quality treated wood that was still wet . The cuts are clean on the wet and very clean on the dry stuff and it's left the material looking great. For the money it's a wise investment and has saved me hours of work . The roller on the top is really handy for passing back and fore also

I have to admit I have not used this yet after having it for 2 weeks but I used my friends one and I know it’s a damn good machine for the price
