WHEN IT WASDELIVERED IT CAME WITH A VERY FLIMSY CARDBOAD BOX HELD TOGETHER BY TWO BITS OF SELOTAPE,WHEN I RECIEVED IT ONE SIDE HAD TORN AWAY.THE PACKAGING LEFT A LOT TO BE DESIRED,NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH POWERTOOL WORLD BEFORE.THE CORDLESS ROUTER IS AMAZING MUCH MORE CONVINIENT THAN CORDED,IT IS LIGHT EASY TO USE AND WITH 2 BATTERYS IT LASTS A LONG TIME AND FOR THE PRICE IS AN ABSOLUTE BARGAIN FROM TREND.

Nice router used on multiple jobs not had any issues as of yet, batteries last as expected fir 4.0ah bats and they charge fast. The only issue I can foresee is the spindle lock is quite fiddly but it does have a hole straight through the shank so you could use a bar or screwdriver if needed.

On receiving the router it looked pretty decent solid transfered bases pretty easily little bit of movement in the plunge base The machine felt very manoeuvrable. I used the 8mm collet first with a 6.7 mm straight cutter , with 5mm depth around 200mm into the length of the cut it just kept cutting out not enough power in the battery which was fully Charged by myself. So I loaded up a 1/4 inch bit round over I tightened the collet , not my first time been doing this for years started cutting after a few vibrations the bit flew out of the chuck and bounced up and cut my knuckle. Very lucky it didn’t shoot towards my neck I’m inspection the collet only slightly tightens on the bit faulty collet And slight out of true shaft. Not acceptable very dangerous and seriously left me disappointed,, trends qc Is horrendous , it doesn’t have enough power to be anything other than a hinge chopping bullnose machine which is fine as it’s cost was under £200 But safety wise it was unusable. Sent it back purchased a Dewalt 18v router And the performance accuracy and use is night and day a far far better machine Granted I liked the ergonomics of the trend router but I’m afraid I’d never try one again just a waste of time
