Unique technology in the EY79A2 means that this machine can be powered from either 14.4V or 18V batteries (2x 18v 5.0Ah supplied). The Panasonic Dual Voltage Brushless Combi Drill Driver comes with a new brushless motor which lasts double the lifetime of a brushed motor. The new hybrid switch eliminates heavy friction to internal parts of the switch during use of electric brake. This provides smoother operation and double* the life expectancy of the part. The durability has been increased of every part right down to the new metal chuck which features tungsten carbide jaw tips. These extra hardened inserts are brazed into each jaw to give extra 'bite strength' and substantially reduce wear.
