“After using a corded planer for a good while, this cordless planer definitely makes life easier. THE GOOD: The battery hanging off the back doesn't affect balance at all, the amount of accessories is perfect, the quality of the plane is excellent. THE NOT SO GOOD: The dial at minimum planing levels isn't too accurate, but a test sorts that out. The box it comes in could probably be used for 4-6 planers, seems well over sized. I might check this again some time, but I think it empties a battery (4Ah) way more than other tools. OVERALL: This is superb and I'm definitely glad I bought it. Used on a dozen doors so far and it's very controllable, even used it on a 3' square table to take off old paint, worked very well. It's a good investment and handy that Metabo let you register all tools on their website, helps a lot if they are ever stolen.”
