Makita RT0700CX2 Router / Trimmer with Trimmer, Tilt and Plunge Bases The RT0700 is a durable and high powered trimmer with shaft lock, horizontal power cord and flat top design. The various bases all have precision depth adjustment for added versatility. The Trimmer Base is for smooth and fast cutting with easy handling with a non-slip grip for added control. The Plunge Base has a plunge capacity of 0 - 35mm, easy to operate lock lever, aluminium base plate and ergonomic knob style handles. The Tilt Base has a tilting capacity between 30 - 45 degrees, easy to grasp for one handed operation and an enlarged opening section of base assembly for excellent bit visiblity. “I have tried 2 other routers, one large 0.5 inch and one supermarket budget 0.25 inch. The half inch was too big and cumbersome. The supermarket budget was good for the money, but cannot get additional accessories. This Makita kit is excellent. Small, light, lots of accessories and very easy to use and set up. I highly recommend this kit. The only slightly negative comment is the adjustment depth is a little bit slack, but this has not caused any major problems and for the price, I haven't found anything anywhere near as good.”

“Bought this little router for rebating and flush trimming as my big plunge router is too unwieldy. This Makita trim router is beautifully made and robust, it’s a joy to use and can be operated single handed. I’ve been machining 18mm ply with it and it’s taken everything I’ve thrown at it without a problem. Some have criticised the height adjustment mechanism, preferring the dewalt mechanism but I’ve found the Makita to be easy to use and precise.”

“Seems to be very well built. Nice and stable to use. Seems to have enough power. I've had 2 of the Bosch Palm routers - both burnt out after about a year so I was a bit fed up of those. The bag for the router and accessories is good too.”
