Power Tool World sent out a saw that looked like a knockoff from Aliexpress. The finish on it was horrendous, and to make things worse, the motor was broken. When fired up, it made a loud clattering nouse and emitted blue sparks from the side. I queried this with Makita UK, because I didn't want to get another unit like this, as I had to complete a sensory room for an Autistic child. Makita sent their rep to Power Tool World and allegedly checked all their stock. They had 7 units in stock at the time. Power Tool World, emailed a few days later, and confirmed that the Makita rep had confirmed that all their stock was unfit for sale, so much so, that they were unable to get me a replacement, despite me asking for one. To this point, you can be forgiven for thinking that this is an unfortunate series of events, with only one outcome. However, Power Tool World, despite claiming that all their stock had defective motors and Aliexpress style finishing, they did not remove them from sale. So, either they were lying about the state of their remaining stock, for whatever reason, or they were knowingly selling defective goods to their customers. Either way, this should tell you all you need to know about this company.

Hello there, We’re really sorry to hear about your experience and the concerns you’ve raised. That isn’t the standard we aim for. We had a member of staff check the stock and quarentine the last 2 we had left in stock. A few days after that we had a new delivery. Thank you for your feed back. Kind regards, Team Power Tool World
