Available In 110v & 240vMakita LS1019 260mm 10" Double Bevel Slide Compound Mitre Saw The Makita LS1019 10” Double Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw combines capacity, accuracy and efficient dust extraction in a more compact size, with a unique 2-Steel Rail Sliding System that offers a reduced footprint for operation flush against a wall. The innovative direct-drive gearbox and guard system is engineered for increased vertical cutting capacity - the largest in its class. The saw mitres 0° to 60° left and right, with positive stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45° and 60° (left or right). The bevel lock is located in the front of the saw for easy access and quick adjustments from 0° to 48° (left and right). The saw is powered by a 15 AMP direct drive motor with soft start, a key point of difference. Direct drive enables smoother start-ups and consistent, constant power with no belts to slip or replace. The electric brake provides added convenience. In addition, the electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load for smoother, higher-quality cutting. Additional features include a see-through blade guard system for greater visibility of the blade and line-of-cut. For improved dust extraction it has an improved dust collection capability for use with a bag (included) or extractor (sold separately). It also has a large-sized aluminium base that improves the stability of cutting stock for more efficient cutting. FEATURES Unique 2-Steel Rail Sliding System design offers single slide-glide operation; reducing saw's footprint and allowing operation flush against a wall Increased capacity for up to 12" crosscuts at 90° In-front bevel lock for convenient operation Dual dust collection ports provide excellent dust extraction performance Innovative direct drive motor and guard system is engineered for increased vertical cutting capacity Linear ball bearing system engineered to deliver "dead-on" accurate cuts Less weight (26.3 Kg) and the most compact design in its class for easy jobsite portability Powerful 15.0 AMP direct drive motor requires less maintenance and delivers 3,200 RPM Large-sized aluminium base improves stability of material for efficient cutting Soft start suppresses start-up reaction for smooth start-ups and longer gear life mitres 0-60° left and right; bevels 0-48° left and right Positive mitre stops at: 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45°, and 60° left or right Electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load for smoother, higher quality cutting Integrated upper and lower tall fence system offers added rigidity for more precise mitre and bevel cuts Ergonomic rubberised horizontal D-handle design for better fit and added comfort Replaceable stainless steel mitre scale features large and easy-to-read markings Easy-to-read double bevel scale for more precise adjustments See-through blade guard system for greater visibility of blade and line of cut Easy blade changes for increased efficiency Oversized trigger switch for better fit, added comfort and easier operation Easy one-touch slide lock for convenience Simple 90º turn-of-the-knob mitre angle lock/unlock mechanism DXT (Deep and Exact Cutting Technology) CUTTING CAPABILITIES (H x W) Mitre Angle Bevel Angle 45° (left) 0° 45° (right) 0° 42 mm x 310 mm 58 mm x 279 mm 68 mm x 310 mm 91 mm x 279 mm 29 mm x 305 mm 43 mm x 279 mm 45° (left & right) 42 mm x 218 mm 58 mm  x 197 mm 68 mm x 218 mm 91 mm x 197 mm 29 mm x 215 mm 43 mm x 197 mm 60° (left & right) – 68 mm x 155 mm 91 mm x 139 mm – SPECIFICATION Input Wattage: 1,510 W Blade Diameter: 260 mm Bore Diameter: 30 mm No Load Speed: 3,200 rpm Max Mitre Range: 60°to 60°(L-R) Max Bevel Range: 48°to 48°(L-R) Net Weight: 26.1 Kg NOISE & VIBRATION Sound Pressure: 91 dB(A) Sound Power: 101 dB(A) Sound K Factor: 3 dB(A) Vibration: 2.5 m/s² Vibration K Factor: 1.5 m/s²

“My very old radial De Walt arm saw failed and I made a few bob on Ebay selling it as broken. Time to upgrade to something far better. I subscribe to the "you get what you pay for school of thought and as a longtime furniture maker and Makita user, the 1019 was an obvious choice but I looked at loads of alternatives. Festool want silly money for a saw that is not obviously any different or better than other makes. I once got an electric shock off a Screwfix own brand chop saw. Curiously a very expensive Bosch saw came across as rather poor, not least of all in terms of dust extraction and the hold down clamp. De Walt seemed ok but.... American reviews appear to universally like the LS1019 for cutting crown moulding (something that thankfully, we do not have much of here). They also like the rigidity, the accuracy, of cut, the soft start etc. I am bound to agree plus the fact that the machine can be positioned close to a wall and will extend very smoothly from it. So it was after a lot "saw porn" I went for the no laser (a lot of extra money for something I have little need for) Makita. An excellent machine. Very happy.”
