Makita DUR369AZ Twin 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Brush Cutter Body Only

The Makita DUR369AZ twin 18v brushless brushcutter requires 2x 18v batteries (sold separately) to operate and has been designed to suit the needs of commercial end-users in mind, who are looking for a high powered, quiet and easy to use alternative to a petrol machine, without the compromise on power. It features a cow horn/bike handle and a steel drive shaft for less vibration and longer life. It has a 3 stage speed control – high, medium and low speed, that can be changed by simply pushing a button on the easy to use LED display.

Other features include a reverse switch that comes in handy when tangled grass clippings can be removed by slow reverse rotation of the cutting tool (automatically stops after three seconds) by pressing a button and pulling the trigger. The ADT (automatic torque drive technology) means the RPM is automatically shifted according to the density of weeds. For commercial users the AFT (active-feedback technology) is a great addition, for example when this machine is being used with a metal blade (optional) if it hits a solid object like a tree stump or fence, the sudden decrease in rpm triggers the brake, stopping kickback occurring.

As standard, it also comes with a maintenance-free carbon brushless motor with electronic control, that ensures a high motor efficiency and significantly less heat. It has counter-clockwise blade rotation – (blade rotation is the same as petrol brush cutters making it comfortable for traditional users).

FEATURES

Asymmetrical handle bar ensures more comfort when tilting

Maintenance-free carbon brushless motor with electronic control ensures a high motor efficiency and significantly less heating

Vario switch with preselection for three maximum speeds allows even quieter operation and provides more autonomy for lighter mowing tasks

Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT): Shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down

Automatic Torque Drive Technology: Automatically changes the cutting speed according to load condition for optimum operation

Powered by two 18V Li-ion batteries in series to supply energy to the powerful 36V DC motor drive system

Reverse switch for easy removal of grass clippings stuck

Electronic current limiter for overload protection

Ergonomic handle bar of off-set design

Electronic current limiter for overload protection

Electric brake

Soft start feature

Constant speed control

SPECIFICATION

Voltage: 18v x 2 (36v)

No Load Speed: Hi: 0-7,000rpm / Med: 0-5,500rpm / Lo: 0-4,600rpm

Nylon Head Accepts Nylon Line: 2.0 - 2.4mm x 3.5m

Max Cutting Width (Optional Accessories):

2-Tooth Blade (198345-9): 255 mm

3-Tooth Blade (195299-1): 255 mm

4-Tooth Blade (196895-8): 255 mm

Nylon Cutting Blade (197993-1): 430 mm

Plastic Blade (198383-1): 255 mm

Spindle Size: M10 x 1.25 LH

Overall Length: 1846 mm

Body Only Weight: 5.9 kg

Weight (inc. First class tool. I have also the DUR 363L Which is excellent but the 369AZ is superb. It comes with trimmer and brush cutter. You can fit a circular chain saw blade on it which I have, it cuts through the brambles and small shrubs like butter. One of the best investments I’ve made in years.

Very good brushcutter for going through giant brambles.

The machine itself is excellent. It has a lot of torque and does not get bogged down by heavy grass and tall nettles when using the metal blade. The strimmer head also works well and does everything you would expect. The plastic blade is a bit feeble and I not sure what you would be using it for on such a large machine... cutting the lawn if you are bored with your mower maybe?? What I am disappointed with is the battery life even at the medium speed. when using any blade of strimmer the maximum you can get out of it is 20 minutes continuous running. So you definitely need a second set of 5 amp hour batteries and as these take 40 minutes to charge you are still left waiting. So really you need a total of 6 of the 5 amp hour batteries for continuous work which gets expensive.

absolutely fantastic tool.... !!!! quiet, lightweight, and as powerful as a petrol brush cutter!! Comes with metal and plastic accessories as well as nylon string. Ten times better than my old petrol brush cutter that was always needing servicing... Only thing to note is that the run time is low - so get a second pair of batteries...
