The tool is brilliant. My complaint is that a box spanner with a 16mm and 17mm head is supplied for securing the blade cutter but the nut is 20mm! I have had to buy another set of box spanners as I didn't have this size. I appreciate this is a Makita fault and not yourselves.

I can never get petrol strimmers or lawn mowers started so was delighted to find a cordless tool that would be robust enough to tackle the rough grass field behind the house. Used it today for the first time with the metal blade on and it coped brilliantly. The batteries lasted long enough to get the job I wanted done ..around 40 mins on 3rd setting.. and we're ready to go again in around the same time. Very happy bunny!

Powerful enough to slash through thick vegetation. Feels light and is well balanced, which reduces tiredness. Batteries seem to last longer than expected.... I get tired before they do !

Fantastic bushcutter. Very powerful, easy to use, quiet and it is much lighter than my old petrol machine. One thing of note is that the battery charger is rather loud - though it was faulty but other review state the same issue. Used this product to cut thick grass and weeds for over an hour with no need to recharge! Would highly recommend this product.

Fairly light and well balanced using the strap. Powerful enough for heavy duty work. 40 min battery life is enough for my needs. Minor point is that putting it together is a bit of a faff and likewise changing from the nylon line to the cutting plate. Overall a very good tool.

I have a large garden so was looking for something lightweight, not petrol but doesn't need an extension lead - this ticked all the boxes! I have only used the nylon string so far but dead easy to fit and does extend itself out unlike other cheaper products. Now I have the batteries and charger I guess that makes me a Makita boy - looking forward to my next purchase!
