After using a decent petrol engine trimmer this machine is a disappointment. The first thing that hit me was the balance point which is well below the loop towards the head. Holding the loop, the head falls to the ground and one must apply a conscious upward lift to ensure one does not scalp the ground. I suspect that the balance point might be at the loop for a double battery machine. The radius of the cut is rather small and the line chews up at a much faster rate than I am used to. However, the machine is very light and when turned 90 degrees it makes a good edging tool.

Well worth the money. After years of two stroke machines this is a capable replacement. It takes a bit to get the different balance point and find the shoulder strap not necessary.
