Makita DUM604RTX 18v LXT Cordless Grass Shears Inc 1x BL1850B 5.0Ah Battery & DC18RC Fast Charger with Hedge Trimmer Blade The Makita DUM604RTX LXT Grass Shears are designed to suit the needs of home users, landscapers, nurseries and gardeners. They have a stain-free shear blade surface of glittering silver obtained by non-electrolysed nickel plating that features high anti-abrasion surface for a long lasting coating. The blade systems on the UH201D Mobile Hedge Trimmer and the DUM604Z Grass Shear are interchangeable, where the grass shear and hedge trimmer blades can be installed into both the 10.8v and 18v units. (UH201D blades sold separate). This model also has the added feature of a battery capacity warning - lamp starts blinking red, this indicates battery capacity is low and when the lamp lights up, the tool has stopped due to battery capacity being empty. This RTX version comes complete with grass and hedge cutting shear attachments, including a grass receiver and a chip receiver, as well as a BL1850B 5.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery and fast DC18RC Charger. We recommend adding a 831278-2 Duffel Tool Bag or a MAKPAC type 3 carry case with Powertool World Pixel Foam Inlays. “A very handy garden tool. The Makita DUM604RTX is a top of the range cordless grass shear and hedge trimmer with a strong motor and long lasting battery. It can handle those jobs that cheaper competitors struggle with. I've been extremely impressed with how well it is made, and how useful it is for an assortment of jobs around my garden. It's proved to be a huge timesaver. I was initially reluctant to make this purchase due to the price, but it has proved to be well worth the money.”

“Very handy dual purpose tool which makes close pruning easy. A bit messy changing from shears to trimmer but otherwise easy to use. Battery system makes this type of tool expensive but much prefer this to having trailing cables plus battery fits many other tools from Makita.”

“Quality product as you would expect from Makita. Brought this primarily for the grass trimming function, but useful to have the hedge trimmer as well. Swapping between the two blades is a bit fiddly, just remember that you have to turn the cam up the other way and rotate it as indicated in the instructions. You will also need a flat bladed screwdriver to fit the hedge trimmer blade. No big deal I keep a short stubby flat blade screwdriver in the box as part of the kit. First rate service and competitive price from Power Tool World.”
