“Leaves get caught in the impeller when using as a vacuum and no easy way to clean. When using as a blower a 5 amp hour battery lasts 9 minutes!!! I threw the box away otherwise I would have returned it.”

“Purchased Makita DUB187Z Cordless Blower with Vacuum facility a few weeks ago from Power Tool World. Great Price and fast delivery. Excellent blower which I used for moving a large amount of small leaves from large gravel area under trees onto lawn ( I cut lawn the day before for ease of using vacuum facility).Blower did actually send a few bits of gravel onto the lawn as well which took a few mins to remove. Slowed the process a bit, but substantially better than trying to rake up leaves on gravel. To improve/ speed up the vacuum process I bought a wide mouth wheeled vacuum accessory ; Makita GB00000165 Wide Nozzle for £7.20 from another supplier as Power Tool World had none in stock( some other suppliers were substantially more expensive eg double and triple the price) . As the wide nozzle has wheels it saves arm strain trying to move the standard nozzle back and forth to gather up leaves. Only down side with the DUB187Z is that using a Makita 6Amp battery resulted in a run time of only 15 -20 mins but that should be sufficient if you are using it weekly rather than leaving leaf collecting to the " end of season". Also not bad run time considering this blower is very powerful for private use rather than contractor gardeners.”

“It works well, but i wish the collection bag was larger. Also, the fan is made of plastic, and mine broke on the first day due to small stones being sucked up off my driveway. I purchased a replacement for £7 online and it was easy to change for a diy-er. In future, I will blow the leaves off the drive onto my lawn, and only then risk sucking them up to prevent recurrance.”
