Had electric before but changing to battery it’s fantastic. Haven’t got a very big lawn so this is perfect size mower easy to manoeuvre and empty I was concerned how long the battery would last. But I didn’t need to worry. With the charger and a battery u can’t go wrong for the money. Very happy

Fed up with a corded lawnmower, so thought I'd give cordless a go. Searched for a while but the offer of a free battery swayed my decision towards the Makita. I've only a relatively small garden, about the same size as the average new build, but as soon as I took the mower out of the box, it felt like I'd bought the right one. It's not too heavy, but heavy enough, has an easy height adjuster and the battery slid in easily enough. No rear roller though so no stripey lawn. It cut the grass really well and flew around my lawn, without trailing a cable that I was always in fear of cutting. The added bonus was when I finished, I'd only used one bar of battery power! In short, it's well made, does a great job and is a heck of a lot quieter than my previous mowers. Very, very pleased with it.

I was pleasantly surprised how powerful this machine was. It coped with my long grass without a problem. I will be able to get about 3 cuts of my lawn on 1 charge of the battery

We brought this Mower not only for the garden but to mow some of our allotment. We only have a small lawn at home and so far the battery has only been charged once it has done 4 cuts and strimmer the edge. The mower saves time on getting power leads etc it is light and folds away neatly for easy storage. Delivery time second to none

The battery lasts well and charges quickly with the built in fan maintaining the temperature. The cut is smooth and even delivers some tramlines. The only downside is the box (for which I deducted the star). It fits well enough but the slope is a little steep which means it constantly fills up nearer the mouth; consequently, you need to stop and push the grass to the back of the box or empty it very frequently. Having said this, I've just changed to this from our usual petrol mower and I won't be going back to a petrol one any time in the future. The electric mower is so easy to start that stopping more frequently isn't too much of a bother. We have a large lawn and this manages to cut it in one charge as long as it's kept short (if it's longer, the battery drains far quicker). Given that it is so quick and easy to use, keeping the grass short is more of a pleasure than a chore.

I have a medium size garden and was able to cut the grass twice using the 5 ah battery.. I hoped to get a wee bit more out of the battery,, but there you go... The lawn mower itself is very good , light and easily moved when cutting if anything the battery is the weak point, however with the extra battery giveaway how can you refuse ?
