This is a great saw that managed to take apart a complete pallet on one 5 amp battery. Well balanced, compact and very powerful. Only thing of note is it gets extremely hot along the shaft and gloves had to be worn. Absolutely brilliant tool and highly recommended.

Quite a powerful saw, fast and almost vibration free. It replaced a Bosch Keo which I used to cut small branches but it became useless when the built in battery needed replacing, but that was not possible. I used the same rough wood blade in the Makita that I had used in the Bosch Keo. I thought it was blunt but the Makita cut through the wood with it quicker than the Bosch Keo.

Much better than the brush version which I had, lasts longer on one charge. Disappointed that there is no orbital action like on there corded version of this saw which I also have cuts much faster

Fabulous tool I didn't know I needed, and it is now my second most used power tool. We use a lot of reclaimed material and as such I mainly use it to cut through nails when deconstructing wooden pallets etc. It's also useful for cutting small tree branches.
