I’m a massive fan of Makita tools to start with but this sander is up there with my favourite tools I’ve bought so far despite it having a power cord, I originally bought it to sand some solid wood worktop’s I made many years ago but so far it’s been used to sand down a solid wood kitchen sink unit I built for our other home, it’s powerful and easy to hold even with one hand, the power cord is extremely long and of top quality too, I have been using Trend abrasive pads and the desired finish is reached in no time at all, the dust collection is faultless when connected to a shop vacuum and it’s fairly quiet even on full speed, I can’t find anything to complain about with this sander, it’s absolutely fantastic.

Sander performance very good. Disappointed that there is no adaptor for sawdust extraction via vacuum. The bag is soon filled. Also, if the box was slightly bigger you could use it without unscrewing the handle every time.

Great bit of kit. Was looking for a 6inch electric DA rather than an air powered. I did try a couple of other brands to be honest ( 1 cheaper and 1 about the same price) both returned due to the quality. Normally by Makita (grinders etc) so was happy to see they done a big version (I have the 125mm one as well) Lives up to the name, nice to work with.

A great random orbital Sander. I thought it might be underpowered from the spec, but it is in fact satisfyingly fast. I have replaced a broken 150mm Sander with this one as I have a lot of 150mm discs. I find it quite quiet to use. The dustbag fits well and saves some dust.
