Bit under-powered. Applying a bit of pressure bogs it down but is fine for removing material on smaller jobs or where care is needed. I always buy Makita, hence the purchase, but would suggest the equivalent Bosch as it has a larger sanding area. It’s also more powerful but this may just be to cope with the longer belt.

A little unsure about this before I bought it as this was going to be a put me on stop gap to do the job while my Makita BO6030 sander was in the repair shop enough about that though. This sander is a decent work horse for it's size & has loads of grunt on tap to tackle the toughest of rough sawn treated timber to smooth off for milling up to spray seal up and creocote up the sander is superb just make sure you plug this into a power take off dust extractor because the bag fills up very quickly then it blocks up so all I did was put my air blower to it and cleared it but no regrets in buying it so anybody looking for one I say buy this one it's a solid choice purchase & well done for Powertool World for dispatching promptly.
