At only 4.1 kg (without battery), this cordless framing nailer is well-balanced for less user fatigue.

The on-tool control panel located at the base of the handle centralises the power button, battery charge indicator and selective actuation. To activate the tool, the power button must be depressed for more than 1 second until the green light appears. The battery charge indicator button can be depressed to check the available power in the battery pack, for less downtime. The selective actuation button lets the user quickly select between sequential mode or bump fire mode.

The NR1890DC is equipped with a convenient tool-less depth-of-drive dial that can be easily adjusted to adapt to woods of varying density. The pivoting rafter hooks adds convenience for when the tool is not being used. The ergonomically formed, non-slip rubber grip handle is designed for comfort during extended use. A safety lockout feature is employed as an additional safety measure. In contact mode, when the trigger is pulled, the nailer must be depressed against the intended material within 2 seconds or the trigger will lock. In sequential mode the trigger must be pulled within 2 seconds of depressing the work contact or lock-out will occur. To unlock, the trigger is simply released and then pulled again to resume operation.

Supplied with 2x 5.0Ah lithium-ion battery packs, a UC18YFSL battery charger (which will fully charge the 5.0Ah battery in just 75 minutes) and some safety goggles, all packed neatly in the HSC IV size 4 stackable carry case.

FEATURES

Cordless framing nailer with highly efficient brushless motor for longer run time, less maintenance and increased durability

No air hose or compressor required

Eliminates the cost of fuel cells

Air/spring drive system means less recoil, better flush driving and easier maintenance

High stable driving power allows the nailer to drives nails up to 90mm into lumber with ease

Selective activation button; easily choose between sequential or bump fire mode

Tool free adjustment of drive depth

Lock switch and 30 minute automatic shutdown for increased safety and longer battery life

Dry fire lockout system prevents nailer from driving when fasteners are low

Low battery indicator

Pivoting rafter hook

SPECIFICATION

Driving System: Air Spring

Nail Length: 50 - 90mm

Driving Speed: 1.5 - 2 Nails/Sec (Intermittent)

Loading Capacity: 47 Nails

Firing Mode: Full Sequential or Contact

Dimensions: 342 x 309 x 127 mm

Weight (exc. Brilliant nailer. Much more power than the dewalt! Just takes a bit of time to get used to it, then you off!

A bit heavier than gas powered nailers, but ultra reliable and they work all day on one charge.

This is an impressive bit of kit. Was a toss up between this and the milwaukee, glad I went for hikoki. Such a beast. I might upgrade the batteries though. Still a very impressive gasless nailer. Tope marks to Hikoki.

This thing is brilliant. No maintenance, no gas, no ear defenders required just endless nails. The batteries Last. It’s quite heavy but you get used to it- but get a good tool belt if you wanna be mobile with it.

Cracking bit of kit. Read many reviews before committing to this having ‘made do’ with a Silverline compressor powered one for fencing jobs up til now. (Actually a very good gun for the money if you you already have a compressor). Hikoki seemed to come out on top in most reviews. Powertool World as always came out tops for delivery price and spec. Can’t fault them or the gun really. I promise I’m not on the payroll but I can’t ever buy anywhere else that comes close on price and delivery. My previous bugbear of DPD refusing to deliver to a local drop off point also seems to have been resolved as my last two deliveries were left with neighbours without any issue. Wasn’t previously an option and I’m rarely at home to receive. Full marks all round.
