After many happy years with the Makita equivalent, my eye was drawn to the low profile and equally favourable reviews of the DeWalt. It fits every bit as nicely in the hand, and certainly sands as efficiently as its rival, and that lower centre of gravity makes for a really good sense of feedback and control. Overall, excellent.

Excellent piece of kit, wish I’d bought one years ago. First job, sanded filler on a wall, hardly any wear on the 120 paper disc, used along with the hoover attachment (purchased separately), hardly any mess.

Sander is good, but had to buy an adapter to connect to my vacuum. Only a Dewalt adapter fits and it costs another £18.

Brilliant little sander - the cord is a decent usable length and the extraction port is a decent diameter - both problems that I had with my old Makita. I quite like the on/off switch as opposed to the trigger on my old sander and the variable speed is extremely handy. It is quite loud but for the price I certainly can't complain.
