DeWalt DWE6411 230W 1/4" Sheet Orbital Palm Grip Sander
The DWE6411 1/4" Sheet Palm Sander has a 230 Watt motor that delivers 14,000 OPM. The separate counterweight reduces vibration and along with the rubber over-mould grip provides comfortable sanding. A shorter design allows users to get closer to the work surface and the one-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to an AirLock compatible dust collector. The new paper clamp holds sandpaper securely during sanding.

Bought as a replacement as yet another Black and Decker Mouse broke. Whilst the DeWalt is more expensive, it's MUCH better, with plenty of power to stand up to the job. Sealed bearings, quality construction, and a generous cord length mean it should last many years. The pad can take both velcro backed sanding sheets, or you can buy a long roll of glasspaper, and cut off what's necessary and fit to the DeWalt with the spring clips provided. This means that in the long run, the DeWalt should be the better value unit, as it will last longer, and the consumables are cheaper. It has plenty of power to sand efficiently, and is weighty enough to reduce the vibration felt whilst holding the unit. All in all, a great buy.

Great little sheet sander and not too loud. The dust collector does a very good job if you haven't got access to a vac. Love the fact that you can use pre-cut sheets, a roll or the hook and loop system and the hole cutter is a very nice touch. Very happy, would definitely recommend.

Got this sander to fill the gap between my half sheet and detail Sanders , it's every thing I hoped it would be ! , Very powerful and easy to handle with an excellent finish. The sander it's self appears to be finished to a high standard ( which is what I have grown to expect from DeWalt ) and has a simple to operate paper attachment system . The only problem I have encountered so far was how to connect it to my dust extracter , which I have now solved having finally got hold of an air lock connection , if your looking for a useful little sander this is the bit of kit for you.
