The first router available on the XR cordless platform, the DCW604NT-XJ comes with interchangeable fixed or plunge bases and has quick release tabs to enable them to be swapped over quickly and easily.
The DeWalt DCW604N 18v XR Brushless 1/4" Router is ideal for a wide variety of tasks including routing for inlay cavities and hinge mortises, rounding over edges, flush trimming hardwood edging, and a whole lot more. The aluminium motor housing can be transitioned quickly to a fixed base attachment increasing the versatility of the machine and the compact, light weight design increases ease of use and user comfort.
Supplied body only in a TSTAK carry case. Bases are also included.

“Bought to compliment another DCW604 router I already own. Very happy with my purchase, and for my level of carpentry, this router suits my needs perfectly. As you would expect from DeWalt, it is a well made tool (as are the included accessories), feels quite small but is very powerful for a 1/4” router - it will also acccept 8mm bits. The motor unit can be used in wither the traditional plunge base, or the included palm base which has square and round Perspex bases that it can be used with. Both bases come with side fences, and there are accessories that help to centre your bases as well as screws for holding fences in place My purchase included a TStack case, and if anything, is the week point of the kit. The case itself is excellent, but it has a (removable) moulded insert that takes up way too much room and seems to be totally impracticable for holding the parts together - for example, the side fences cannot be stored assembled and have to be dismantled everytime to be stored. I removed the moulded case and use the TStack on its own which allows me to add a selection of bits - in fact, one case holds both of my DCW604 routers, with all accessories and bits and even a circle jig I made for my routers Great router as you would expect from DeWalt, and an ideal addition to your tool box”

“So far so good. I had a cheap router tool before and this DEWALT offering is so much better and more versatile. Only used it to practice so far but loving it already”
