DeWalt DCS690X2-GB 54v XR FLEXVOLT 230mm Cordless Brushless Cut Off Saw inc 2x DCB547 Batteries and DCB118 Charger The DeWalt DCS690 54v XR Cut Off Saw uses a 230mm Diamond Blade with 83mm depth of cut making this saw usable for the majority of onsite applications. The tool's latched battery compartment minimises dust and water ingress into the battery terminals and enhances durability. This saw has also got a sealed switch which increases durability even in the dustiest environments. The new 230mm blades, available in metal or diamond, give a large 83mm cut-depth when the blade guard is adjusted to the best angle to take advantage of this depending on application. There is a standard hose attachment near the trigger allowing you to connect a water supply to feed the two sided dust dampening system for wet cutting. With this saw, and the two blade types (diamond or metal), you can cut concrete, cast iron, rebar, steel and stainless steel, aluminium and other metals. The ergonomic handle with soft grip enhances the user comfort and reduces fatigue for enhanced productivity. Also being battery powered over being powered by petrol reduces the noise level, there are no filters to clean, no maintenance and no need for refuelling. Better than any petrol disk cutter, lighter and much more reliable

I was hoping this saw would run all day, like other 54v tools like the Mitre saw. It won't!. You will be lucky if You get 10 flags cut before the battery dies. If it's occasional use, it's fantastic. Cuts are clean and fast (with the aid of the £50 DeWalt Diamond blade). But don't buy it if you are thinking of replacing it for a petrol stop saw!

The cut off saw has great potential and operates superbly BUT be prepared to have a dozen spare batteries lined up if you intend doing any serious cutting. And given the 80 minutes charging time per battery you can expect to wait a long time before you are able to complete even a simple job.

The supplier, Powertool world, the service was excellent bought and paid online delivered the next day no fuss 5 star service. The courier DPD here always find their service good as well especially the app gives you a expected delivery time, 5 Star service. The Saw, DCS690, Dewalt haters are gonna hate this because there’s nothing to hate it works a treat cuts like a petrol saw but without the fuss. For me it’s excellent and suits my needs perfectly.
