“I owned the previous Rotak 43 Ergoflex for 5 years before the motor burnt out recently, it was a great mower and owed me nothing after 5 years service so I decided to purchase the same model although it is slightly different in looks to the older model. Very good mower but don’t know why Bosch have started putting shorter power cables on their electric mowers, this mower has a very short 10mt cable compared to the previous model which had a 15mt cable. This is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5.”

“Great mower. Cuts very well. Very powerful. You can control the revs a little by decreasing pressure on the grip and then accelerate again as long as you do it quite quickly otherwise the engine will turn off. The only thing I don't like is the grass box which you have to assemble and the slots aren't that easy to align. You have to make sure they click in place using a short sharp thump with your hand otherwise the grass will escape from the box. It's a shame they didn't make it in one piece but I can see why they have made it to assemble and that is to save space when they package it for delivery. All in all it's a nice mower and I had a Hayeter petrol one before and this cuts better than the Heyeter.”

“Does not cut level consequently digs into the lawn at times something my previous 2 Rotaks did not do. Very disappointed and particulary with Bosch customer service who pointed out the obvious that the blade was damaged and that was the reason it was not cutting correctly. Of course it was damaged,it was not cutting level.All their replies were from a script.Pity that their customer service dept let the name of Bosch down.”

“This is the 5th Bosch Rotek I’ve purchased .... 43 larger and generally excellent mechanics but the lowest setting does not cut as low as my last two models the 37 & 40 ... not sure why? Happy overall .”

“This replaced a small 28cm flymo which I used to struggle on my medium to large lawn. What a difference the 43cm Bosch made. After the initial first cut with the grass being long and damp (2 runs filled the grass hopper!!) the mower still powered through the grass and thanks to the variable cutting lengths I was able to cut it slightly longer. I have recently gave it its second cut and was pleasently surprised how fast it took. Nicely stripped thanks to the rear roller and emptied it only once thanks to the large grass box. Only went up and down no backward and forwards like the Flymo..and it gave a perfect cut Only sorry I never bought one years ago. Thoroughly recommended.”
