“Love the look of the lamp and I bought in the sale so got a good price. Beware the rechargeable lights without the genesis cell though as when the internal battery breaks, it cannot be replaced. Pooky should explain this clearly on the website - if it breaks after the 2-year warranty, it's landfill. Have been told there is a life expectancy of 25000 hours, which is a long time - but not a lifetime. Thanks for the quick customer service, I did get my answers quickly.”

Hi Helen, Thank you for taking the time to send this feedback! The reason we do not list a two year lifespan is because this is two years as a minimum, but it will vary depending on how often it is used. As with any battery powered product, these will degrade naturally over time. If the lamp is used regularly it may degrade sooner, and if it is not used often then it will last longer. Our warranty period is two years, so if the battery fails within this period please contact our customer service team at hello@pooky.com to discuss the options for you. We are slowly phasing the non genesis Chukka out and we have now introduced our Genesis version so hopefully this will improve the longevity of the Chukka in future. Best Wishes, Bryony
