Thank you for your feedback. We only use a lovely thin cotton for our block printed shades as that is the style best suited to the block printing technique. Allows you to get the best out of both the fabric and then pattern being applied to it by the wood cut blocks. A thicker fabric would not show the patterns at their very best and that is our main goal. We do line the shades with a cream cotton lining as well so that the light is double diffused but I am sorry to hear this wasn't the right fit for you on this occasion. Best wishes, Daisy
