“The velvet fabric looked great on the outside but personally, I didn’t like the start white inner side of the shade which was very obvious against such a dark exterior. Also, I didn’t like the visible stitching on the inside. Would have preferred the inside to be darker and the stitching to somehow be concealed.”

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you were disappointed with the inside of the shade. We have found that due to the thickness of the velvet the light does not come through the shade well but with the introduction of white lining it allows for the shade to still have some light reflected out from the inside. Without this the shade would block the light entirely and it would be of no use at all! We do take on board your comments about the stitching on the lining however at present it is not possible to have a seam (which is a necessity) without visible stitching in some capacity. As it would be far less popular to see this from the outside of the shade we have folded the fabric over on the front and stitched from the inside. The only other option would be to glue the fabric down but this is much less reliable and does not end up looking as smart. We will of course continue investigating other options to find the perfect solution for everyone! Best wishes, Daisy
