“Lovely and unique lampshade - just to small for my lamp base! Returned and exchanged for a bigger one - had to have a different shape because the biggest Empire one is 30cms. Both arrived very quickly and the returns process was easy.”

“Having ordered 6 of these now I have given up. The shades may be handmade but every single one I received had a large number of smudges, yellow marks, blue print marks on them. I could live with one or two marks but I wasn’t going to accept the poor quality of these shades. I only wanted two but now they are all going back and I wouldn’t bother again. Poor poor quality unfortunately.”

Hi Louise, Thank-you for your feedback. I'm sorry that you feel the quality of the shades that you have received was poor. Following our conversation on Thursday, I had advised that we had not been made aware of the issues you had experienced with the first shades you had ordered so did not get the chance to resolve this for you. I then requested for you to send images over to us, so that we could inspect the replacement further for you but we did not receive these. I, therefore, arranged for 2 shades to be sent out that I believed were as perfect as hand made paper could be. The nature of hand made paper does mean that there are marks and darker sections of fibers, which is not something that would be unexpected due to the manufacturing process. There are then hand marbled, which does mean that there no 2 will ever be identical. We do try our upmost to ensure we resolve issues as quickly and promptly as possible. However, without the requested imagery it was difficult to ascertain where the original issues had arisen from. I would be more than happy to attempt to resolve this again for you, and if you could send some images over to us at hello@pooky.com, that highlight the issues you have experienced then I can look into this further. “This shade is gorgeous - very true to image. Looks stunning. Excellent quality. Arrived prompt. Well packaged. In perfect condition. Yes, it has two seams as described but they are so neat and they don’t detract from the visual impact of the design. I wish I’d found Pooky sooner having spent months looking for just the right shade and they will be my first stop in future.”
