I bought this pump in Nov last year and gave myself a couple of months at least before commenting. It came highly recommended by a few acquaintances and the price was also a selling point. It comes packaged in a small box with two extra pairs of valves and two alternative sized valve adapters. The instruction manual is easy to follow though it could include a section to explain what the different modes are and when to use them. There are four main parts to fit together which are easy to clean and put together to attach to the pump. Again the instructions could include recommendations on when to change the valves and diaphragm. I like the variable suction levels which are pretty strong (I’m using level 7 on Auto mode). The pump session go for 20 min before it automatically turns off but it’s easy enough to turn it back on if you want to go for a little longer. The motor isn’t too loud but I wouldn’t say it’s quiet that a person on the other side of the room wouldn’t be able to hear it working. The battery life is decent enough. The screen could have included an indicator to show the level of battery life left before needing a charge. I’ve been caught out a couple of times as the pump died mid session from an empty battery. The pump does weigh down on your bra so I find I’m having to either support it manually or wear a tight fitting sports bra or tight top in order to be completely hands free. All in all I would say it is a decent product and would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the more expensive brand on the market.

I’m very happy with my Pippeta compact hands free electric pump, I was a bit nervous to buy it before trying it first but the reviews convinced me. I already had a manual pump that barely worked on me so I needed a new one for when I went back to work. This one covers all my criteria - it is discreet ish (more so than a manual pump), easy to use, not too loud and it actually pumps really well. I bought an extra 17mm flange and this is the bit which sold it for me, as other brands don’t cater for my size. The pump has surprisingly few parts so it is quick and easy to assemble and clean up. I have used it about 5 times before I had to recharge it. The other thing is I have to hold it up to get the best alignment and vacuum seal so it is not completely hands free, however I have not tried the strap extender yet. If it’s not aligned properly it will seem like it’s pumping but nothing will come out so I advise some experimentation to know what position works for you.

I bought 2 compact LED wearable pumps to reintroduce breastmilk via exclusive pumping after stopping breastfeeding for a short while. I have also tried the Elvie and given that Pippeta is more than half the price you are not getting half the quality. The packing is compact and overall, Pippeta are amazing with lots of different modes to chose from (not that I understand what each mean, the booklet doesn’t seem to explain this either) so I’m just trying each out to see what works best and I’m slowly building my supply back up. Given that they are wearable this suits my lifestyle as I also have a toddler so are very convenient. They are quiet but not silent, people have commented on the sound when I’m wearing them but this doesn’t bother me. The battery seems to last quite a long time before needing a charge which is fab! Because I am pumping so frequently it is quite stressful only have one set of everything which needs to be cleaned and sterilised after each use especially if out and about so I’m going to be purchasing a second set of shields/flanges etc which of course increases the overall cost. The only thing which could be improved is a noise to indicate low battery as the red light doesn’t show for long before the battery dies and can easily be missed if not checking the pump frequently when wearing. Top tip - ensure you have a tight fitted bra to maximise pumping comfort, I have some loser fitting bras which I find myself fiddling about with to keep the pumps in place. Highly recommend the compact LED pumps!

It’s a good pump. Only used a few times. But if you want a quite pump this is not very noisy and a lot bigger than I thought but does the job.
