“We booked into 2 Sawmill Cottage with our German Shepherd in late August for a week. It is perfectly placed for us to see all the various sights such as Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Maiden Castle, Dorchester and Weymouth. The beaches are not always for swimming or not always allows dogs but there are plenty of beaches where you can take them. The cottage itself is a cosy 2 bedroomed cottage within a courtyard of other cottages and he owner and his brother are also there to provide you with local knowledge of the area. There is a paddock behind the farm buildings which is enclosed and ideal to exercise your dog if they do not have good recall. The only down side is the pub which is the only place in the village to go to for food or drink and it closes early, 7pm Sunday and 9pm most of the rest of the week. All in all, we had a great stay and would recommend it”
