Excellent 3 days in a truly dog friendly (and pretty human friendly) hotel. Comfortable, excellent food and the potential nightmare of a dog holiday in January (mud, mud and more mud) was completely removed thanks to the dog shower in the boot room with shampoo and towels galore. Our dog has never been cleaner. Eating beautiful food in a lovely room with your dog (..blanket and bowl awaiting) All the staff were really lovely and welcoming. We stayed in a room with a small enclosed garden for the dog and a hot tub for us which was perfect. Great dog walks straight from hotel gate. Whats not to love

Having paid for a particular (expensive) dog friendly room (in full) back in April for our September stay I did not expect to get a call from the hotel a week before the stay. We were asked if we were still going the following week?!! Then told our room didn't have a bath, then claimed I had not booked the room that did have! They then confirmed I had booked the room with the bath and hot tub and that they had input my room incorrectly. Was then offered a stay for 3 nights in the room I had booked but would have to move to another room!! Eventually, the only way we could get the room we booked was to go a day earlier which we grudgingly agreed to do. There were several other issues whilst there, cleanliness, sofa had sharp buttons where the tops had come off, not good for humans or our pet and it was also very grubby. Came back from a day out to find our patio doors wide open, we were on a ground floor!! Dog blankets were shared across all dogs, not ideal, there was only one dog poo station on the whole grounds. The room was constantly too warm, the thermostat on the wall was connected to nothing, hence they had a stand alone fan in the room which was completely ineffective. Finally at check out they charged for two items they shoudn't have so removed them from the bill. At £500 per night, not impressed. Compensation, no nothing (we did share these issues with them at the time).
