“+ points Sweet pea cottage is lovely it's old and it quirky it's clean and tidy and no doggy smells It's near the centre of Holt and everything is within walking distance Hot tub which is lovely Clean bedding and towels Chocolates a nice touch Negative points 1) The beds are the worst beds we have ever slept on! The mattresses are thin and every spring could be felt and not supportive at all we moved from the main room into the twin room found they where even worse so we had to sleep on our own , my husband has two new hips and springs sticking into him was painful so we folded the main duvet in half to pad the bed for him in the main room, I used the two duvets in the spare room one folded in half on the base and one over me so we could sleep! The pillows provided smelt sweaty but due to covid thankfully brought our own with us past reviews have mentioned the mattresses and it hasn't been addressed which has let this lovely cottage down. You do not come on holiday to have to do this! It's not cheap to stay here and not budget accommodation. 2) there was no welcome folder with useful local information in case it's needed visitors do not know the area and if in need need to know where to go Nearest hospital, dentist, drs and vets telephone numbers etc How to work the TV and DVD the cooker and dishwasher no product leaflets to use as a reference etc 3) the bathroom sink plug is a struggle to use it's so stiff 4) the photographs of the property need updating as when we arrived it was nothing like what had sold it to us to come online It's simple things that would make the place really special as it is we are ready to go home to get a comfortable good night's sleep....together in our comfy bed!”
