“From the moment I arrived the staff could’t do enough. To describe it as dog friendly is a massive understatement; they love dogs! Definitely recommend the hotel and it’s restaurant which has great food (and an optional sausage for your dog with breakfast). And it’s in a great location to explore the dales and surrounding area. Lovely walks along the river and a great ice cream shop on the green five minutes walk away. What’s not to like?”

“Lovely village though busy at weekends. More a hotel than a posh pub, slightly more formal / grand than I’d normally go for. Don’t recommend eating there every night: there are other options locally and the menu is quite short. Food is excellent quality though. Dog friendly except for rather aggressive rules list - all the staff were genuinely doggie people though. Nice gardens and free electric vehicle charger! (Two thumbs up).”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Evening meal was a disappointment, look lovely displayed on plate but very fatty and small amount. Ended up going to local pub which does lovely meals

“Lovely hotel with excellent views of the valley and only 5 minute walk to local village. Accommodation is on first and second floor which is hard for an elderly dog to manoeuvre the stairs. Evening meal was a disappointment but breakfast made up for it.”

“Right in the centre of Dales, walk to village( nice pub) and along river Wharfe to Grassington. Friendly small hotel if not a strange mix of high end restaurant goers with suits and heels and muddy walkers & boots/dogs. I’d recommend switching to more choice on menu each day /specials and relaxed feel. Breakfast very good in conservatory! Plus nice welcome pack for dog in your room.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Only suggestion would be go for room on first floor( no ground floor rooms) if you are taking your paw friend with you - otherwise second floor has lots of steps to get downstairs - about 96 - a good daily work out though). We will be back.

“All staff so welcoming to us and our Springer spaniel puppy -Lilly. We were all made very welcome, nothing too much trouble.Lilly enjoyed her breakfast sausage each morning. We had our meals in the conservatory so Lilly could join us. Staff so attentive. Room had everything you needed, very clean.”

“What a fantastic place to stay with our 2 dogs. We had the most amazing food at breakfast (with a sausage chopped up in a bowl for each dog)and evening meal, eaten with the dogs beside us, in the conservatory. We also had a lovely cream tea sitting in the sunshine in the garden. The dogs both got a bag containing a tennis ball & treats waiting in the room for them. There was even a Doggie menu in case they wanted something different. The room 14 was beautifully equipped. There was nothing they hadn’t thought of. Our 3rd wonderful stay .”

“Perfect setting for a relaxing few nights getaway. The staff were so welcoming and really could not do enough, especially when our little boy was poorly. Our puppy was also treated like an absolute star, so much fuss and attention he didn’t know what to do with it. Would definitely recommend.”

“This hotel is simply excellent. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and well appointed with gifts for our dog waiting in the room. All the meals were superb. The views from the hotel were stunning .”
