“After booking Cragwood Country House through Pets Pyjamas I was expecting a fantastic dog friendly stay, what we receieved was the opposite. The rooms are not at all dog friendly. There's zero soundproofing and heavy footfall along corridors. We had hours of people passing our room laughing and talking, which disturbed the dog due to the lack of sound proofing on the door. Upon contacting the hotel I was told our room was in one of the quieter areas of the hotel, so I dread to think how bad the noise gets in other areas! I would recommend staying away from this hotel if you're looking for a dog friendly stay.”

“Lovely hotel and room, fabulous setting and grounds with lovely dog friendly walks, and delicious and exceptional food. Our two border terriers had a wonderful time too. We were all made to feel very welcome by the fantastic hotel team. We will definitely recommend this super dog friendly hotel to all our friends. Many thanks for an excellent relaxing stay with you. Roger and Lynne Queen and our doggies Bo Bo and Lola x”

“Although the weather was not kind, we had a lovely stay at cragwood Country hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially to our cocker spaniel Willow. Stacey showed us to our room and Grace was our waitress in the bar and breakfast room. Food was delicious. Only complaint I had was on arrival day, it was raining so we decided to stay in and eat lunch in the bar area. I ordered our lunches and requested 2 sausages for willow which were on the menu and was told NO so we had a hungry dog that evening despite us taking some of her own food. As a dog friendly hotel I was shocked to be told no to my request. Susan smith”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Upon check in, despite booking through petspyjamas, they didn’t have our 2 dogs on the booking. Not a problem as all their rooms are pet friendly! Our room was beautiful and had the most amazing view through the bay window of the lake! The wall paper was questionable and the en-suite was “cosy”. But the walls between the neighbouring rooms were paper thin! You could literally hear the neighbours conversations word for word! The food was incredible and the staff were so friendly and welcoming!

“Cragwood House, was a beautiful place to stay, great views & stunning walks, Room was clean with a bottle of precessco on ice on arrival, staff were very helpful, fine dining experience was lovely, breakfast, was filling & fresh, great base for exploring, will definatley be going back.”
