“We were well looked after, especially Willow our lab. All of the staff were friendly and polite. The food was lovely, breakfast and evening meals. Our room was clean and comfortable although it is starting to look tired with a few bits of maintenance work in need of doing.”

Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? no

Did you feel your stay was good value for money? no

“Our room was tiny with very dated furniture, there was no shower just a bath which is very poor. The TV was the size of a tablet. We certainly will not go there again. Was not worth £ 50 per night never mind the £120 we paid. On a plus side it was clean and the staff were nice.”

We pride ourselves not only on our wonderful Pet Concierge Team, but also on the fantastic properties we work with, so we are sorry we didn't get it quite right on this occasion. The George & Dragon Hotel has always been very popular for us, and as you can see from the reviews on our website, our customers are generally very happy with the hotel. We are therefore, sorry to hear this wasn't quite the case on this occasion. We work very closely with all our hotels so we will pass your comments onto the management team there, and continue to keep an eye on things to ensure everything is running smoothly. Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Cant really say much more, as it was all very good - food excellent - friendly - helpful staff. There was an issue with the TV, but that was not the fault of George and Dragon as the transmitter was hit by lightning.

“Staff very friendly and helpful. Dogs loved it as they could be in the bar and breakfast area.”

“We took our 2 dogs, a border collie and a disabled German sheppard and were given a ground floor room because of this. We couldn't have had a better welcome. The place is not posh but had everything we needed. Food was great. Room was comfortable. Good breakfast in the morning. Friendly locals. What more could you want.”

“We all had a fantastic time, even though Leo and Tilly have never been to a hotel before they was relaxed and enjoyed thier stay. The staff where very friendly and extremely helpful. All my family and our dogs will highly reccommend and would visit again. Thank you to all the staff at The George and Dragon and Pets Pyjamas for reccommending this hotel.”
