Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Stay was value but lunch and dinner not at all.
Wonderful and interesting old building. Very good room. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Rowen greyhound was very happy and loved his bed. The lift was a bonus because greyhounds do not do stairs. The hotel in general was very scruffy and dusty which we guessed was because of its age so cleaning lots of it would have been a huge task. Breakfast was very good but other meals were very expensive and only ok, not worth the high prices. The National Trust grounds were amazing for dog walking, we loved it. Communication between Hotel and the National Trust was lacking, so we were very disappointed by not being able to visit Ickworth House as the Hotel was not informed of its closing for training and then for the winter.

We stayed in the lodge which was perfectly nice, clean and comfortable. Small kitchen area to make hot drinks and mini fridge. Some cereals for the kids which was also handy as it's a 10/15min walk or 2min drive to the hotel. This was fine with us as the weather was lovely but not ideally. Hotel was very nice, staff welcoming, flexible and accommodating to all of us including our four legged friends. Dog lovers request the dog menu, our logs loved the chicken dinner. Add a pool and spa thay offers treatment to kids in a stunning national trust park = a lovely weekend away for the whole family.

Couldn’t have wished for more, room had everything we needed for both us and our dog, with every little detail catered for. Plenty of interesting walks around the grounds, our Flo really enjoyed herself. All the hotel staff could not have been more helpful and it really showed they were all dog lovers. Food was excellent, would highly recommend the cream teas, liked the idea of being able to take the dog to the drawing room in the evening to eat and have a quiet drink. Would certainly recommend The Ickworth to everyone.

I am Zak a Labrador my humans and I stayed in a room at the Ickworth Lodge for 2 nights. My humans bought with them my favourite bed, and my food and water bowls. I loved the walks, all the new smells, going for coffee and joining my humans at meal times. As I was with them they had to eat in the drawing room which only had coffee type tables and sofas so my nose ended up on a level with all the lovely food, I found it great fun trying to get the food off the plates. I’m not sure that my humans were happy with these eating arrangements as they always sit up to a dinning table for all their meals at home. The humans had a lovely break at the Ickworth the only downside was the meal arrangements, as Zak suffers from the occasional seizure we could not leave him alone in our room. All the staff were very friendly and made a fuss of Zak which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was in The Lodge, 10 minutes walk from the main hotel, and was lovely overlooking the garden which had Muntjac deer roaming through it.

A very imposing approach to the hotel but not so good when you get inside. Definitely needs some updates. We stayed in Manners room which was ok for a standard room but a new king size bed would be appreciated and a larger tv. It was unfortunate that we arrived when the weather had changed to a cold spell. We had snow. It seemed as the hotel couldn’t cope with this as it never seemed very warm. All the windows are very old and draughty. The museum part in the Rotunda was well worth a visit. The food was satisfactory but not worth the prices. It was no problem taking our dog with us but she had to stay in the room if we wanted to use any of the attractions as usual.

As you approach the hotel you are nothing less than impressed … it stands out … total WOW. The staff, however, make this hotel. Amber and the team that looked after us, made us feel like aristocracy. The fabric of the hotel needs a facelift, as moths shared the room with us. Frank, our dog, had the most amazing time exploring the grounds, the staff were really relaxed and friendly towards him - even getting his own cooked breakfast.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I have a severe allergy to Mustard and unfortunately had a few issues regarding my meals
After an hour of being in my travel cot we arrived at The Ickworth and wow it looked amazing so much grass and trees to sniff around. The staff loved me and made sure I was welcomed as much as my parent were. Our room was called manners and I did have lots of manners lol ... In our room I had my own dishes, bed and blanket and also ball, treats and even poo bags!!!! They love us pooches even to looking after us doggies whilst parents went for breakfast or evening meals if they wanted. I prefered to stay in my room so I could watch TV or sleep after going on such fab walks around the estate!! I loved it there and my parents did too apart from a few snags regarding the kitchen. Oh and I think they mentioned it would be a great idea if there was a bar to relax and have a drink or two. Lots woofs Mitzie xxx

Visited for the weekend. Pet friendly doesn't cover how welcoming and homely it felt staying here. The colleagues at Ickworth hotel made us feel like we were at home. Made special efforts so that our dog could dine with us during breakfast and dinner. Surrounded by beautiful scenery. Would definitely stay again.
