“Lovely small hotel right on the water’s edge in a sheltered bay and close to coastal path. We stayed in the two bedroom Pebble suite with our teenage son and our dog. The entire site is well set-up for dogs, they are welcome in most areas of the hotel and the beach next door. Our dog was given a welcome pack on arrival with a couple of chews and a tennis ball. Our suite was a good size, with a spacious lounge with log burner, large master bedroom with comfortable bed, and bathroom with a shower and bath that overlooked the sea. The second bedroom was smaller, but a good size for children. There was even a small kitchen. We also had a small private garden overlooking the bay. The rooms were well fitted, clean and comfortable. There was a good selection of beers and wines to enjoy whilst sitting on the sunny terrace and the food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner. The staff are friendly and helpful; although sometimes a bit stretched at busy mealtimes, they did a great job of looking after us during our stay. Mobile phone signals are a bit weak that far down the cliff, but there is a basic wifi covering most of the hotel, although be aware it’s completely open, so you may want to add your own VPN to protect your privacy. Overall we had a great short break in the Cary Arms. It’s not cheap, but it is good value for money.”

“This must be the best dog friendly hotel we have ever stayed at. Accomodation was fab (stayed in pebble) the staff were super helpful and friendly super accommodating and nothing too much trouble. Our fur baby was made to feel like a guest too, location fantastic (albeit not ideal if you have mobility issues) nothing I would mark them down on will be visiting again.”

“Not often do our family all want to go back to a holiday location, but we had an easy happy time. The staff were great, the food reasonably priced and we chose to eat in the restaurant every night of our stay which was wonderfully comfortable and enjoyable. Super welcoming to dogs as well as teenage boys!!”

“A very warm welcome for us all. Beach hut was very nice, light and specious. View was spectacular. Nice to have an area for hotel guessed to while away the hours. Evening meals really tasty and teddy loved his sausage and gravy. Breakfast inconsistent, 4 out of 6 days great, other 2 just edible. Beach hut not fully enclosed and could do with a gate so we could have let Teddy out to watch the sea without worrying about him. Overall 8.5 out of 10.”

“The location is spectacular, the service is exceptionally good as the staff think about everything to make your stay perfect and the food is wonderful. Only downside is the very steep hill to get to and from the property but the staff will happily valet park the car.”

“Just the most amazing stay! Everything was perfect from the staff, to the food, ambience and facilities. For a little of luxury in a beautiful location. Can't thank the staff enough for the most wonderful stay. It was great to be able to take the puppy into all parts of the hotel, he loved the beach and being spoilt by all the staff.”
