We had the most enjoyable stay. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt incredibly looked after. Special thanks to Issy, Alina and Francesco who made our stay so special. P.S Francesco knows how to make a proper cappuccino! I almost overdosed on caffeine as his coffees were superb!! We were sad to leave.

All the staff were helpful and friendly. The location is good and the car parking arrangement worked well with no problems. We had dinner and breakfast there and both were good. However, the room we had was presented as en-suite. Although the toilet and bathroom were just for us they were not in the room and were only partitioned off from other rooms by a curtain. The room was clean but very worn. We paid £185 which unfortunately I don’t think is value for money..

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Rooms 8&9 are recommended as away from the actual pub.
We had room 8 which was tucked away from the main pub by their veggie garden……..below street level!! The room is a little dark as you have to have the blinds at least half down for obvious reasons, but is large, really well put together with a great bathroom. The service and customer awareness was tops - Charlotte looked after us impeccably for dinner with friends; Melissa was equally as good at breakfast and Emily made the hat-trick happen on our second day………whoever has trained them, has done a fantastic job, as it was above and beyond good service? The pub is just on the outskirts as you come into town, but traffic is really busy as they are flanked by the Girls Public School (many drop-offs) and they have no parking, but there is a huge car park a couple of hundred metres away up the hill at their sister hotel. Drop bags then go and park is my advice!! Wonderful place.

We and our 9-month-old Labrador thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pub could not have been more friendly, as they were at the sister hotel (the William Cecil) where we had dinner. Digby was made welcome wherever he went!
