“Such a good deal in a beautiful setting. The grounds of the hotel were stunning and so well maintained. Staff were helpful and cheerful and made a point of remembering our little dog's name. The food was excellent apart from one vegetarian meal, great buffet breakfast. Drinks cost more than regular pub prices but to be expected in such a beautiful setting. I would have given five stars but for the heat in the room which has been well documented in other reviews. We took an additional fan which certainly helped. Hotel management really need to look at this issue, our first night was unbearable. However knowing this we would certainly return but maybe in Autumn or Spring.”

“We had a wonderful time at The New Place, Southampton (which is actually out in the countryside) in late July. The building is a spectacular 1900s country house. We were in self contained flat in a special ground floor bock and the three of us shared it (wife, dog and me). Our dog had her basket under the counter beside our bed and her bowls in the en suite. We ate in the bar, animal free people ate in the restaurant. In fact the weather was so good we usually ate on the terrace. There are huge grounds including, as well as normal country house gardens, a private cricket pitch and masses of trees with a path that goes on for ever. Our dog is good at stopping with us so she ran free except round the buildings. We were there for four days and did not want to come home. Thank you Pets Pyjamas for organising such a great break. Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We paid small fee for upgrade of room in twin roomWith door openingGrass area which was easier with the dogs xx weee so helpful and friendly
