Unfortunately l really don’t like leaving a negative review but on this occasion solely on the price l need to. The grounds at Lordington Park are fantastic and great for our dog Molly to run around in, the breakfast was cooked really well and was definitely value for money, the cakes were delicious. The cottage accommodation ( Rose Cottage ) was very dirty with a lot of old cobwebs everywhere and the furniture stained and smelled, the floor was dirty throughout and made our stay very uncomfortable. This was for a 2 night stay at a premium cost.

We were excited and dreading the holiday with our dog who is just 6 months. We hadn’t gone anywhere before and didn’t want to cause any issue. We packed the car prepping for a military operation. Cooler bag✅, travel crate ✅ big crate in case she doesn’t settle in her travel crate ✅, leads, collars, toy, chews, (I almost forgot my knickers but the dog had enough of everything for a week) anyway I needn’t have worried. Lordington Park was perfect. All the staff love dogs and Holly got a lot of attention. She even had some welcome treats, a dog bed and a dog bowl. The room we stayed in was lovely, and the shower was superb. The stay itself, was great. There is a secure field which she could run around in and the setting was beautiful. If the weather was good you could literally be there all day and feel relaxed by the end of your stay. Pre dog I would taken up residence on the terrace, read a book and it would be perfection itself. There was a summer fayre on one of the days we stayed so we had a great time. Holly met Alpacas and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We both felt very very settled and calm there. It was minimally invasive, we were given our key and left to our own devices which was perfect though if we needed to ask anything there was always someone around. I have to say I was really sad to leave. The only downside which was hard was that our room was super hot. They had a good fan in the room but it needed two or three to make any significant difference, so if you are staying there in the summer do keep your curtains drawn all day to try to minimise the heat. Holly is in raw food and there aren’t fridges in the room so we used a cooler bag. I am sure they would have allowed us to use a fridge but we didn’t ask. Thank you for one of my most favourite holidays

This is all family run and when we arrived harriet and her mum and nan made us feel honey and us so welcoming it was lovely. Breakfast you have to pay for however well worth the value even honey had a couple of sausages. Went to west wittering a couple of times but it is so peaceful just to stay in the cottage and admire the scenery.when we arrived honey came off the lead and explored everywhere. This is dog heaven. We have enjoyed this so much we are staying for an extra 4 nights and trying to book a family stay in the game cottage take a look. Staff will do anything for you this place is underated It is one of your favorites. The walks in the paddock and fields for the dog great .wildlife what you see on the telly .this is a must

Delightful property in a gorgeous setting. They also go the extra mile for the dogs, providing beds, towels, and pots of treats. Very unexpected and very welcome

Very convenient check in at this B&B and as an introduction to staying somewhere with our young dog, the no faff element was very welcome. We made a mistake on our booking and forgot to include breakfast. We were the only people staying on our first night and it wasn’t too much trouble rustling up some breakfast for us. The place was impeccably clean on our arrival and no smell of muddy dogs - unfortunately our dog got its paw prints on the sheets within seconds of us arriving and perhaps my only grumble is that the room wasn’t made up on our second day so we had to sleep under dirty sheets for a second night - I’m sure our host would have remedied this had we mentioned this - perhaps a little embarrassment on our part after the last minute breakfast treatment. Really good base if wanting to explore nearby Chichester, Arundel, and the coastal towns - everything feels a quick 10-15 mins in the car. Overall we thought this was a nice place to stay.
