“A perfect place to stay for 2 (plus dog). The only sound was the bird song and chatter, so peaceful and ideal to come back to after a day walking and exploring this lovely part of the UK. Dale, the estates man, was super helpful and responsive to any queries”

Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? no

Did you feel your stay was good value for money? yes

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We never saw anyone during our stay and there was no contact information if we needed anything. A welcome pack with details about internet passwords, clear TV instructions etc would have been useful. We had to search for the folder with instructions for kitchen equipment etc. However, it would have been easier if there were summaries available. We found the cushions for the outside furniture by chance on our last day! Also, the website stated that robes and slippers were available but this was not the case and there was no wine cooler. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and these are minor issues. It is a perfect location for exploring Northumberland and particularly perfect for our dog. We will definitely return.

“This is perfect for a peaceful and secluded break, but close enough to travel to the surrounding areas such as The Holy Island, Bamburgh etc. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. The views over the lake are lovely. It is safe for our dog to explore the wooded and grassy areas round the house. The bathroom is lovely and the bath was an added luxury after long walks with the dog. We liked the open plan layout. I would have expected a dog bowl, treats etc which we have received in other accommodations booked through Pets Pyjamas.”
