“This was a last minute booking, a couple of days before we did a trip home to break up a long journey. It was a they said on the tin, it wasn't just for us but a pleasure to take our dog in. They offered him treats. They weren't bothered that he was in the bar laid at my feet as we eat. I saw a review that didn't do blanket, bowls etc but I don't want that as I take with me my dogs own things. We loved it. We didn't know it was linked to the University campus until we got there, so it also made my husbands day as he was a student and worked there many moons ago so an ideal place for student relatives to stay. Everyone welcomed us and Bob the dog including other guests as well as staff. Thanks”

Did you feel your stay was good value for money? yes

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Be good if there was a means to order from the table. However we managed. As solo traveller its not always easy.

“Much improved from last trip, staff seemed happy to see a dog. Advise ensuring u take bowls etc as nothing in rooms. Some dog friendly places leave bowls etc. If your dog a untidy eater make sure u have newspaper or similar to put under dishes. Booking specific 'out of the way' table at bar for evening meal didn't quite work first night but it did the second. Only problem was getting drinks at bar as dog came to.. could forsee that could be awkward if busy.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? They were all taken back when they saw the dog not one person said hello or acknowledge the dog , everyone jumped back when they saw alfie ..

“The hotel and grounds and staff at this hotel are 5*.. But did seem alittle confused when i checked in with little dog in tow... No-one welcomed Alfie ( the dog). Its as if he didnt exsit. The room was lovely abit small and no welcome pack for dogs.. This hotel does allow dogs but do not go the extra mile .. I would stay here again just hoped they welcome the four legged freinds next time .”
