“The Studio is a very comfortable and well-appointed space which was a joy to occupy. TThe Kay family made us most welcome and were very friendly. Ground floor access has a shower/wc room (lovely shower!) and passage to staircase leading to the accommodation on the first floor. There is a very well-appointed modern kitchen area, stylish living area with sofa and comfy chairs, satellite TV, 4-place dining table and double bed; walk-in wardrobe by the door. The exposed timber beams are very attractive and the decor is bright and modern. Although the road can be busy at times, we found that there was sufficient soundproofing and we were not disturbed. A parking place was reserved for us right next to the garden gate, which was very much appreciated especially when the Cumbrian weather showed up! There is a quiet lane 2 minuted walk up the road where we could empty the dog, and a litter bin on the corner which proved most convenient! The location is very handy for the coast and lakes alike. We found that Coniston, about 20mins drive away, was handy for dining and shopping. All in all we had a superb experience and we were truly sorry when our stay came to an end.”
