Very dog friendly, the staff were very welcoming. We were allowed to take the dogs in the bar but not in the restaurant. The dining room staff were going to set up a table in the bar for us to have dinner, but in the end we left the dogs in our room when we went to dinner and breakfast. Disappointing that there was no outdoor space for the dogs to have a run, you can only walk your dogs round on their leads. Overall we had a good stay with comfortable room and excellent food, the pool and spa were also very good

Nice location, good car parking, clean facilities, staff friendly. On check-in they tried to charge us the full bill for our stay, even though we had already paid prior via pets pyjamas. So be careful, as I very nearly put my card in, only when I saw the amount and asked what it was for did I realise they were trying to charge us again. Unfortunately we felt like the dog-friendly side of things was an after thought / not priority. The dog friendly rooms and a ‘doggy paddock’ are sectioned off from the main part of the hotel. The bin for dog poo bags hadn’t been emptied for some time and was overflowing. You’re only allowed to eat in the bar if you have a dog, which is fine as not everyone likes dogs around when they’re eating but, the service in the bar is very poor. Staff see you waiting at the bar and ignore you. Lots of people were queuing and remarking that it’s always like this. We had to ask someone on reception in order to get a staff member to serve us. On check-in reception said they would make staff aware we were here with the dog so that they served us food in the bar. Tried to order breakfast on our first morning when a staff member finally came over, they initially said they don’t serve food in the bar & I had to say we were told this is where we come for food as we’ve got a dog. They apologised and took our order. Funnily enough you have to book a time for breakfast each morning, even though we weren’t eating in the restaurant and the staff seemed oblivious that we’d come for breakfast…. As part of our package with pets pyjamas our dog should have had a sausage for breakfast each day but, this didn’t happen. Used crockery, cups ect from previous people not cleared from our table; the waiter thought they were ours even though I said they weren’t and he wasn’t going to give me a clean cup for my tea. Soft drinks are not included in breakfast and you have to pay for them but, we weren’t told about this when ordering. We only knew when we stood up to leave & we were collared by the waiter to pay for the coke my partner had. We decided not to bother with breakfast at the hotel for the rest of our stay, as it was such a palava. We used room service to order food one of the nights; this was good and the food was okay. Quite expensive though. You are allowed £30 worth of food per person, aside from the included breakfast (I don’t know if this is for the entire stay or daily, they didn’t specify and we didn’t bother to ask after such rubbish service). Unable to use the spa facilities as they have a policy that you can’t leave your dog on their own. Our dog is crate trained, is very used to being in her crate when we’re not home and we brought this with us hoping we could make use of the spa facilities one of the days. The spa was a big reason we booked but, we couldn’t use it. The room decor and bathroom is in need of updating. Unsure if this is because we were in a dog friendly room & maybe this is why they haven’t upgraded it? Really didn’t feel our stay was worth what we paid for it and left feeling quite deflated; we actually checked out a day early as we just wanted to go home. Tatton Park is nearby and a very nice place to explore. That was definitely the highlight of our stay!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? This place will not disappoint
This hotel was one of the most friendliest places we have ever stayed. Our dog enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The hotel is super clean and luxurious, with a fantastic atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. Food was excellent too, beds were super comfy and rooms spotless. Pets Pyjamas did a real good job finding us this luxury but affordable dog friendly hotel
