“Absolutely charming. We were in room 204 (where the ghosties are) & my wife really felt their presence. The staff were excellent & the food too. Cannot fault the venue, just what we needed in a short break. The grounds are amazing with the river running through it. Great for Debbie's & Lakeland & close to the sea routes. Would we come again? In a word 'DEFINITELY!'”

“The Castle/Hotel is in a great location staff were very friendly and helpful, having our dog with us was not a problem the only place he could not go was the dining room but they had an ante room adjoining the main dining room so that your pooch can be with you, I would recommend this place for a stay.”

“The hotel was very dog friendly with huge grounds to walk in. Unfortunately, the hotel needs a lot of TLC, our bathroom was very dated, dusty and had grouting missing around the sink. The food was average and overpriced and the breakfast buffet food was cold. Nice enough hotel but would not stay again.”

“We enjoyed a very pleasant overnight stay here en route to the Highlands. Easy to find and very friendly staff. The food was also very good with lovely venison and also a good hearty Scottish breakfast.”
