We booked via Pets Pyjamas which should have given a clue we were bringing a dog but upon arrival were told the hotel were not aware of this and we had been allocated a non dog friendly room in the annexe and all dog friendly rooms were booked. To give credit, we were allowed to stay but there were no facilities for the dog in the room and no effort made to rectify this. Fortunately we had brought our own dog bed, food and water bowls. The room was very nice with a very comfortable bed and we had a pleasant stay in spite of the absence of a wardrobe or any drawers for clothing and only 4 hangers on a coat rack inside the entrance door. Tea & coffee making facilities consisted of tea bags but only one coffee sachet for a one cup cafetiere so good job only one of us drank coffee. On arrival there was a jar containing 4 small cubes of shortbread which was not replaced and were the only biscuits we were given for a 3 night stay. We ate in the restaurant the first night but found the food average and overpriced so decided to eat out for the remainder of our stay although breakfasts were very good and a sausage for the dog was provided upon request. We booked in advance for a 3 night stay, Friday to Monday, and paid the full rate only to find a leaflet in the welcome pack saying we could extend a 2 night stay to include Sunday night for £50 including breakfast. We were the only guests at the hotel Sunday night and had paid more than £100 over the £50 offer for the privilege! I would describe this hotel as dog tolerant rather than dog friendly.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a weekend away for my husband’s birthday with our cocker spaniel. The rooms were just as described, with lovely touches such as Dyson fan, amazing homemade shortcake, doggie shampoo, water bowl and a well stocked mini fridge. Other reviews commented that the road noise was loud but we didn’t have any issues despite the windows being open overnight- earplugs were provided though. We ate in the bar section for both nights and the food was delicious, not a huge menu but the quality was amazing- sad that we weren’t there for pie night which is on Thursdays! Overall a great stay, only knocked a star down as we were expecting a doggy sausage for his breakfast in the morning (received at another location booked through pets pyjamas).

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the Beckford Inn. Room was light and airy, staff were very pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent. Welcomed with a smile (and a bottle of beer and a small prosecco). You can hear the traffic but you do get earplugs to use if you need them!

Staff very friendly and made the doge welcome. The room was a good size and comfortable. Hotel is on a fairly busy main road so some traffic noise, hotel is well positioned to visit local attractions like Broadway, Bourton on the water and Malvern. You can walk into the village which is pretty with a nice little nature reserve. Overall we very much enjoyed our weekend break staying at the Beckford Inn.

Very lovely pub, great and friendly staff and lovely food. The dog and our two young children had a great time. It’s close enough to lots of places to entertain a crazy spaniel and two small boys, you do need a car to make the most of it however.

Stayed at the Beckford 5th Feb with our two furry Westies. Room was spotless with lots of lil extras which we didnt expect. Delicious shortcake, sparkling water and prosecco, and not forgetting the gorgeous smelling bath/ shower essentials, the boys (dogs?) Weren't left out either, a bonio each as well as a curtisy bottle of doggie shampoo. Room has everything, if not more than any other hotel room we have stayed in. We ate in the bar area, plenty of space and very comfortable. Menu choices not amazing, but, what we chose was absolutely delicious. Had a full English for breakfast, again, delicious. All the staff were wonderful, nothing a problem, and always approached us with a smile. Well done to all at the Beckford, dont change a thing, you've got it just right! Will be back.
