“Beautiful location and plenty to see in surrounding area including lots of dog walks. Spacious apartment, on 2nd floor so glad my dog wasn't too old for that many stairs. Dogs allowed on the Sir Walter Scott cruise also. Dogs allowed in bar area too but not main restaurant. Staff keep dog treats at reception for wee treats. I thought I had paid for everything via Pets Pyjamas but on the last of out 3 day stay, I was handed a bill for our dog at £15 per day on top of the bill I paid in advance. This should be made clearer please.”

“The hotel is set in a doggy dreamscape right on the loch with forests and walks all around. Our apartment was of a good standard with the most amazing views which even our little girl loved- looking out across the hotel landscaped gardens and ponds with fountains. There was even a full on natural waterfall within the grounds from the mountains above. There was a girls to let our Coaley off to chase ball. Our girl was allowed to be with us in the bar longe and Rafters bistro restaurant for any meals we wanted. Food was good and Coaley got 2 sausages every morning at breakfast from the hotel- lovely touch. Staff are very friendly and hard working. Plenty of parking and hotel has spa, swimming pool , sauna and well being centre on site for you to use. Local Aberfoyle has a lovely pub called Faerie Tree which is dog friendly - great food at reasonable prices. Also made a visit to our favourite gastro pub - The Clachan Inn at Dryman near Loch Lomond- worth a visit , great food and dog friendly in the bar area. Lots of lovely forest walks that we did with our girl and went to Callander and visited the water fall - amazing split level water fall with circular walk. Would have attached photos but would not let me.”

“Different to what we expected / what were shown in photos. Grounds were fabulous. However our lodge was extremely basic and very old fashioned, dark and dingey. Things we expected such as a coffee machine and warm welcome (both advertised on website) were not included. Shower was freezing water on last day. Stairwell of lodge smells and grotty. Lodge itself has an old stale smell. Very different to what the photos shown on the website. Was very clean which we appreciated. Simple things like tea / coffee / sugar were not included. No warm welcome as described. Would say good price for hotel but would not stay again.”
