“We received a very warm welcome from everyone we spoke to. Check in was quick and easy. We stayed in a castle view room, which was very comfortable and had plenty of room for our two large dogs. The dogs loved looking out of the large sash windows onto the square where trainee horses ride through several times a day. A dog bed and bowls were provided in the room and a bowl of water was provided in the restaurant for them. There was also a tin of dog biscuits in reception. The breakfast and evening meals were of very high standard with a good selection of drinks to accompany the food. Monty went the extra mile, making us a special cocktail on request for my birthday.”

“Just got back from the most amazing stay at The Wensleydale Hotel. From the minute we arrived, both ourselves and our dogs, Lucy and Bella, were made to feel at home. The staff are amazing, as is the food! Thank you for a wonderful stay.”

“I have just spent two days at the Wensleydale Hotel which was everything I had hoped it would be. I and my two dogs were made very welcome. The room was comfortable with beds and bowls for the dogs and tea and coffee for me! The food was plentiful and delicious. My room overlooked the square and the castle and I was delighted to see the racehorses ridden through the town in the mornings to the nearby gallops. There is a lovely walk up past the castle. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those with dogs.”
