“We recently visited Orchard Cottage for a week with our dog. The property was in a quiet village around 30 min drive from the heart of the lake district, which was perfect for us. The photos don't do the property justice, the gardens front and back, are kept beautifully by the owner and the cottage itself is immaculate. The owners are next door and were very welcoming but left us to it which was great. Had some lovely meals locally, The Butchers Arms in Crosby is a must visit and the local pub in Bolton village does the best chips! The only slight negative for us was the lower beam to the kitchen, but we soon learnt to duck! Would definitely recommend the property and would gladly visit again!”
