Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Very good value for money. Try and go when they have the farmers market on (right outside the hotel), look out for the lady selling Scotch Eggs and the fantastic Caje stall!

“Nothing was too much trouble, the room was clean and very comfortable, the lovely toiletries are a nice touch. The food was excellent. Our two dogs loved it.”

“We were given small,dark room at top of staircase leading to front outside door used by all hotel rooms. Subsequently our dog was on alert and barking on hearing people outside our door. First night problem worsened when late that night residents tried to get into our room using key. Our dog went ballistic. We had 3 nights of interrupted sleep. Also on arrival we asked where we could walk dog during nighttime to go to loo as could not see garden area. Told there was a courtyard, which had artificial grass and would be closed off during night. It was suggested Riverside few mins away. Would you like to walk a dog in darkness in pyjamas at 4 am for her to go to loo? Considering this hotel is recommended by you I find the above problems need to be addressed. Manager was made aware of our problem with our room but hotel was full so unable to change room. Said he would sort something out for us? Nothing changed on our bill either so feel very unhappy about this hotel experience. The original booking made for us by our daughter was a disaster due to error on behalf of booking dept. This vacation was supposed to pacify us to rectify mistake. Unfortunately it has made us even more unhappy.”

“We had 3 nights at the Golden Lion St Ives Cambs. The staff were all pleasant, polite and efficient, could not fault them. The hotel has a calm and relaxing atmosphere and comfortable well appointed rooms. The only minus was the parking although there are plenty of public parking places close to the hotel. Our little dog was well catered for and settled into her surroundings well.”
